Project Management

TRAINING

The new glass production lines, which are implemented as a “turn key project”, as well as existing glass plants complain about a lack of qualified personnel. As the technologies and equipment continue to develop every year, we – HORN® – have come up with a training concept that meets your needs.

Our training concept can consist of the following sections:

PART 1: THEORETICAL TRAINING

At the beginning the general level of knowledge and the learning ability of your staff will be evaluated. The staff will then take part in custom tailored training for around 4 to 6 weeks. Within this training the basics about the glass, the manufacturing process, and the technological equipment is taught.

PART 2: OFF-SITE TRAINING

Your staff will receive practical training in a glass plant alongside an experienced employee. This training goes into detail about the everyday life in the glass to include; handling the equipment in normal and emergency operation, maintenance work, etc.

PART 3: TRAINING AT SUPPLIER

Here your personnel receive specific training on equipment depending on their area of deployment (Hot End Control System, Cutting Line, etc.). The training takes place on the premises of the supplier of this equipment.

PART 4: LEARNING BY DOING

Your staff actively participates in the assembly and commissioning of the glass production line. In close cooperation with HORN®, your personnel will be familiarized with the system and intensively trained within three months after commissioning.
