The HORN HCB industrial burner is a burner with an air casing and a centrally located burner lance for use in recuperative fired furnaces. The burner lance can be the gas burner Dualflame or oil burner MOB. The casing contains a high temperature-resistant inner lining and has a special shape to distribute the combustion air homogenously around the burner lance. Hereby the burner is damped against noise, becomes temperature resistant, and is suitable for combustion air temperatures of up to max. 750° C.
The HORN air casing burner is made of a specially shaped casing which contains an outer casing and an inner casing. First of all the combustion air duct is connected to the outer casing and supplies the hot combustion air via air fans. The air enters into the burner between outer and inner casing and is distributed around the whole space between inner and outer casing.
Subsequently the air flows through a small gap between outer and inner casing homogenously distributed around the burner lance to the nozzle head. This provides an optimized flame and avoids any hot spot onto the glass surface.
The industrial burner can be operated with all types of gas (natural gas, LPG air mixture and biogas) and all types of oil (heavy fuel oil, light fuel oil). Therefore the casing is only equipped with the relevant burner lance:
- DUALFLAME MC and AC for all types of gas
- Multi Oil Burner MOB for all types of oil.
The HORN HCB industrial burner is especially suitable for the high temperature area at recuperative fired glass melting plants because of its robustness and immunity to back-temperatures.
The connections at the burner lances, DUALFLAME for gas and MOB for oil, are made by way of a quick-release coupling. The connection for the preheated combustion air is made by way of a standard flange according to PN (nominal pressure) 10.
