Bell kilns for the burning of technical ceramics

HORN supplies in cooperation with company Kofeupro bell kilns for burning technical ceramics under oxygen-reduced atmosphere.

Heating is effected by 3 gas burners (make Kromschröder) with a total heating output of 350 kW, in order to achieve the required burn-in temperature of approx. 1000 °C. The kilns are designed for a maximum temperature of 1100 °C.

The useful volume per furnace is approx. 4.2 m³, the outer furnace diameter being 2,840 mm and the total height amounting to 3,200 mm. Dimensions and heat performance will be adjusted according to customers requirements.

Between the internal and external case, there is a high-quality insulation consisting of ceramic fibres. The complete outer casing consists of stainless steel. Moreover the kilns are ventilated at rear, to keep the maximum permissible outside wall temperature of  50 °C.

The kilns will be supplied by two foundations grouted with lightweight refractory concrete. Temperature measuring is effected by means of two thermocouples, the kilns are controlled by JUMO-Imago 500 controllers.
