Engineering Service - Project Management
 
HORN Glasanlagen GmbH offers complete comprehensive and professional designs for melting end, working end, forehearth and other peripheral plants as well as designs in terms of partial engineering for certain plant ranges. All customer requirements in available space, production capacity, refractory quality, available steel profiles, type of fuel, control system are considered in our service.
A competent technical team will discuss in advance all details with the customer.
The complete project management can be executed from experienced engineers.

HORN offer a complete engineering package for the glass industry, comprising consulting, engineering, design and technical furnace calculations. All drawings are prepared in 2D or 3D LOGO-CAD® or AUTOCAD® formats, calculations are prepared in MICROSOFT OFFICE® format.
 

Consulting
 
- Consultancy concerning selection of suitable types of melting end, of refractories as 
   well as specific particularities of the plant.
 

Engineering and Design
 
- General Layout plan with different colours for each refractory quality
- General plan for steel structure assembly with possibility of 3D-view
- Assembly drawings for refractories
- Assembly drawings for steel
- Work shop drawings for steel with lists of parts, detailed welding and material specifications   
- Detailed engineering drawings for refractories with  part list
- Detail drawings of special shaped stones
- Data sheets and complete specification for each refractory
- Complete documentations of glass melting plants supplied
- Preparation of documents for plant parts, suitable for tenders
- Statement of final building state
- Update of drawings in the final building state, "drawn as built"

 

Calculation and Modelling
 
- Dimensioning of technical furnace and thermal data
- Thermal  calculations for each part of the furnace (regenerator, melting end, working end and forehearths)
- Documents for verifiable statistics comprising foundation load plan and loads
- Modelling of new furnaces and of existing installations
